I had to go to the vets to have my vaccinations yesterday! Sarah told me I have to have one every year to make sure I don’t catch doggy illnesses. I was quite nervous but Sarah said it would be alright. When we arrived a nice nurse lifted me onto the scales to see how much I weighed. Fortunately she said it wasn’t because I’d eaten too many biscuits but so they knew how much of the vaccines to give me.
Then we had to wait in the waiting room until the vet called me. I sat on a chair and tried to be good and sit still even though I was nervous. It made me feel better that there were posters of dogs on the walls though! After a while the vet called me in. She was called Lorna and was very friendly. She checked my ears and teeth and said they were looking good.
Then before I knew it she had given me the injection! I did squeak a little bit but it didn’t hurt too much. Lorna and Sarah said I had been very brave which made me feel proud. I even got a sticker for being good!
